PR Pitstop!
Once again, it’s time for the weekly exclusive feature for paid subscribers. The goal of this community is to create a safe space where you can ask questions about all things book publicity—from influencer collaborations, brand partnerships, online and in-person book tours, media opportunities, and more.
Here are the rules:
Post your question(s) in the comments below (if you have more than one question, please compile them into one comment)
Keep in mind, I will offer advice to your situation, not definitive answers. If I don’t know the answer, I will direct you to a resource that might help.
Keep comments focused. This isn’t the place for self-promotion or long commentary about your book, publishing, politics, etc. If you reply to someone’s question, be helpful.
There’s no such thing as a stupid question!
The deadline to post a question is Wednesday night; after that, you’ll have to wait until the next PR Pitstop. I will respond to all comments by Friday.

Hi Abigail, really appreciate the literary agents to query each week, that's such a helpful resource. I will admit that for the past few months I've hardly looked at it because I was never seriously considering trying to pitch my novel. And I would still say I'm more inclined to self-publish, for a variety of reasons.
But here's my question - I'd be curious to get a professional opinion of parts of my manuscript (from an agent? editor?) where they'd give me brutally honest feedback about whether there's any chance whatsoever that someone might be interested in this. The options could be:
A. Sure, give it a shot, there's potential here. Not much, but some agent might be desperate enough to take a flier.
B. Well, I doubt anyone would be interested, but you never know.
C. I wouldn't bother - this isn't publishable, stick to self-publishing and you might find a few unsuspecting suckers who lack literary taste
D. Are you kidding me? You call this writing?
